Qatar Working on Carbon Sequestration Project

State-owned Qatar Petroleum is working on a carbon-sequestration project to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in Qatar, says chief executive Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi. Speaking at the Oil & Money conference in London, Mr. Al-Kaabi says QP is investing hundreds of millions of dollars to reduce green house gas emissions by 25%. "The Qatar LNG industry will be capturing 5 million tonnes of carbon by 2025," he says.
