《Leiv Eiriksson号》半潜式钻井装置承担了发现井25/7-7井的钻井作业，井场位于第782号生产许可证区块内，水深127米(417英尺)，距离瓦尔能源公司运营的巴尔德油田15公里(9.3英里)以及距离挪威石油重镇斯塔万格市205公里(127英里)。

根据挪威石油管理局（NPD）的数据，发现井与两个独立的天然气/凝析油和含油层段相交，在Draupne地层中钻遇了25米(82英尺)厚的砂质地层。

ConocoPhillips Scandinavia has discovered gas/condensate and oil in the central Norwegian North Sea.

The semisubmersible Leiv Eiriksson drilled well 25/7-7 in 127 m (417 ft) of water in license PL 782, 15 km (9.3 mi) northwest of the V?r Energi-operated Balder field and 205 km (127 mi) west of Stavanger.

According to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, the well intersected two separate gas/condensate and oil-bearing intervals, with 25 m (82 ft) of sandy layers in the Draupne formation.

Early analysis suggests 1-10 MMcmoe recoverable. The licensees will consider assessing other prospects in the area.
