Exxon Likely to Exit Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand
Exxon Mobil's likely disposal targets under its Asia-Pacific divestment program include projects in four Southeast Asian nations and Australia valued at $5 billion, energy consultancy Wood Mackenzie says. The firm thinks Exxon, having recently announced its intention to divest $15 billion in global assets by 2021, will likely refocus its Asia-Pacific portfolio on operations in Papua New Guinea and the Gorgon LNG project. The oil major's divestment targets in the Asia-Pacific likely include making full exits from Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand, as well as withdrawing from several projects in Malaysia and Australia, Wood Mackenzie says.
