The main contribution to the fall oil production had a decline in production at the giant Karachaganak field in the West Kazakhstan region. According to the government’s forecasts, by the end of 2019, 88 million tons of oil will be produced in Kazakhstan, which is 2.5% less than the record high in 2018, while the government of Kazakhstan plans to increase production in the country to 100 million tons by 2024 and 105 million t to the 2025.
