赫斯公司在墨西哥湾深水区获重大石油发现

据油气杂志网2019年10月29日纽约报道，美国著名综合性石油公司赫斯公司（Hess Corp.）表示，赫斯公司将把日前部署在墨西哥湾深水区密西西比峡谷726区块的Esox-1勘探井获得的重大石油发现与其Tubular Bells生产设施连接起来。

这口在Tubular Bells生产设施以东10公里水深1405米海域钻取的发现井Esox-1勘探井在钻进过程中钻遇到了58米厚的优质含油中新世油藏。

赫斯公司首席执行官约翰?赫斯表示，这口发现井预计将在2020年第一季度投产。

拥有57.14%股权的赫斯公司担任作业者，其合作伙伴雪佛龙美国公司持有42.86%的股权。

Hess to tie back Esox discovery to Tubular Bells facilities

Hess Corp. said an oil discovery at the Esox-1 exploration well on Mississippi Canyon Block 726 in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico will tie back to its Tubular Bells production facilities.

Drilled in 1,405 m of water 10 km east of the Tubular Bells facilities, Esox-1 encountered 58 m of high-quality oil-bearing Miocene reservoirs.

Production is expected in first-quarter 2020, said John Hess, chief executive officer.

Hess is operator with 57.14% interest. Chevron USA Inc. holds 42.86% interest.
